Artist Mary Whalen and I have developed a STEAM project, incorporating science and art to understand and visualize environmental change. Our work merges Mary's photography of museum specimens with my soundscape recordings, both of which focus on grassland birds and environment. As part of this project, we've displayed Mary's photographs and specimens from our collections in the foyer of Wood Hall at Western Michigan University.

Our work was exhibited at the Kalamazoo Nature Center, Oct 9-Nov 30, 2018, as part of Education for the Arts (EFA) program offered by KRESA. Find out about our program here.
