Conferences!

A big week cam to an end as lab members presented research as two conferences! Jonathan Eiseman made a short trek to Chicago to present work from his MS research on soundscapes at the US chapter meeting of the International Association of Landscape Ecology. Jonathan's presentation (http://sched.co/DeL0) was included in a special symposium exploring description and analysis of landscape patterns (http://www.usiale.org/symposia.html).

MS students Amy Janik and Joanna Sblendorio, PhD candidate Erin Grabarczyk and I made a longer trek into sun, heat and dryness, landing in Tucson for the annual meeting of the American Ornithological Society. Two posters and two presentations, and one great week!

Congratulations to all the students in the Sound Ecology lab for great presentations and for representing our research and Western Michigan University!
